Dr. Vong is a licensed clinical psychologist who received her doctorate from the California School of Professional Psychology, Alliant International University Los Angeles. She completed an APA accredited doctoral internship at Michigan State University providing individual, couples and group therapy to a diverse student population. Prior to working at UCLA, Dr. Vong completed her post-doctoral residency and worked as a staff psychologist at Humboldt State University CAPS, where she developed an international student support group, provided individual, couples and group treatment to a diverse student population. Her therapeutic interests include: psychodynamic theories, acceptance and commitment therapy, trauma, relationship/loss issues, cultural diversity and identity development & integration (race/ethnicity), acculturation, adjustment, positive psychology, social justice, & mindfulness.
