Approach to Treatment: Melanie’s approach integrates time limited dynamic therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and interpersonal therapy frameworks. Melanie encourages the ownership and awareness of a client’s intersecting identities, and strives to collaborate with and advocate for students to get their needs met. She creates and maintains interpersonal safety through authenticity, compassion, and humor. In doing so, Melanie prioritizes each client feeling less stuck and less alone as they find and grow into their unmasked selves.
