Jason is a licensed clinical social worker specializing in working with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, life transitions and relationship, identity and LGBTQIA+ specific issues. Jason has extensive experience working in community and healthcare based mental health settings providing outpatient therapy to individuals across the lifespan. Jason has a passion for working with the LGBTQIA+ community. He previously worked at the Los Angeles LGBT Center providing outpatient therapy. Jason draws on cognitive behavioral and attachment informed approaches to therapy and has training in several evidenced-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Jason’s therapeutic style builds on students’ strengths and aims to develop a strong therapeutic alliance, which he believes are central in helping students thrive and meet their mental health goals.
