Graduate Degree: PhD in Counseling Psychology
Graduate School: Counseling, Clinical, and School Psychology PhD program – University of California, Santa Barba
Clinical Experiences: I have an interest in creating spaces for minoritized communities to heal, grow, and process intergenerational experiences of trauma and pain. Social justice, liberation and multicultural psychology are at the forefront of my work.
Interests: Identity development, BIPOC communities, underrepresented students (Spanish-speaking communities, 1st generation college students, low-income students, transfer students, graduate students).
Treatment Approach:My clinical work is guided through a multicultural, relational cultural, and interpersonal lens that seeks to honor, understand, and validate individual’s intersectional identities and unique life stories. As a psychologist in training, cultural humility, safety, empathy, and personalismo (personalism) are salient factors in my approach to therapy. In my clinical work I seek to facilitate opportunities for individuals to openly express themselves and incorporate wellness and liberation in their personal and academic/professional life.
